Are you able to exercise your right to carry concealed in an Uber or Lyft? It depends. Uber prohibits both drivers and riders from carrying concealed but Lyft only prohibits drivers.
What really happens, however, is most likely very different than what the companies allow. The only way a rider or driver would know if there’s a concealed weapon is if it were to be used. Drivers and riders aren’t required to disclose weapons or even tell the truth if asked.
Let’s be real; the only time a legal concealed carrier would draw their weapon is if someone is threatening deadly force against him or her. Concealed carriers don’t go around holding up rideshare drivers or holding passengers at gunpoint until they tip. It just doesn’t happen.
