The media is full of analyses of Kyle’s actions, the riots, and his trial. I’d prefer to comment from the perspective of a concealed carrier and use the situation as something we can learn from rather than the tragedy that it is.
I can sum up the Rittenhouse situation in one word – NO. Or, if I’m feeling particularly spunky, HELL NO. We concealed carriers have two main objectives. The second is obvious – to survive a deadly force encounter. The first is less obvious – to never put ourselves in a situation where we need to use deadly force.
